Stafford Yard is a development of 295 apartments one mile south of Bristol city centre.
The development
We have submitted a planning proposal to Bristol City Council for a development of 295 apartments, with the blocks ranging from 4 to 16 storeys.
We are proposing a development with resident amenities including a gym, a lounge and retail space, as well as courtyards, private balconies and roof terraces with vegetable beds.
The site is in Bedminster Green in South Bristol, 1 mile south of City Centre and is one of the five plots that make up the Bedminster Green Framework Area – a framework adopted by the council after they identified the area as being suitable for higher density development.
The area
Bristol’s economy is built on the creative media, electronics and aerospace industries, and the city-centre docks have been redeveloped as centres of heritage and culture. The city is the 8th largest in the UK and has the third-highest per capita GDP of any English city (after London and Nottingham).
Bedminster Green is in a rapidly developing neighbourhood, less than a mile from Temple Meads train station and soon to be connected to the growing Metrobus route. The site is currently a brownfield site containing a range of light industrial warehouse and car parking.
